Who can see whose numbers?

Managers see their own reporting chain. Admins see the organization. The rule is enforced in the database, not by the AI.

Two separate rules decide what you can do with data in miviva, and both are enforced in SQL on every read and write.

  • Whose numbers — a manager can read and write measurements about the people in their reporting chain (their reports, their reports' reports, and so on), plus themselves. Admins can see everyone in the organization. Individual contributors see values about themselves where a goal shows them.
  • Which datasets — a dataset is normally shared with everyone who passes the first rule. Its owner or an admin can restrict it, or archive it when the feed stops.

The raw rows behind any dataset are one click away: open Organization → Data and click a dataset card to browse every measurement — period, person, field, value — filtered by field, newest first. You will only ever see rows about people you are allowed to see.
